Navigating the Era of Overseas Employees and Empowering Indonesia’s Local Workforce

While more organisations in Indonesia are depending on overseas employees, they will also need to prepare local employees for the future by providing them with training and development to develop the skills needed to stay relevant. Taking a deep dive into the future of human capital trends in Indonesia, this session will provide tips on how to create a culture of inclusivity that provides equal opportunities for all employees through ethical recruiting methods and rewards based on performance and merit. As local and national talent compete with foreign employees, Yulius Bulo, Operations Director, Pertamina Foundation; and Chairperson, AHDO Indonesia, will also discuss how organisations can help dispel feelings of insecurity and displacement to empower a thriving workforce.

Speaker: Yulius Bulo, Operations Director, Pertamina Foundation; and Chairperson, AHDO Indonesia

The holacracy-metaverse organisation: Taking the next step in organisational excellence and employee development

In today’s dynamic business environment, it is no longer enough for organisations to simply develop talent. They must also seek to transform them from task employees to knowledge employees using digital technology as enablers. By leveraging digital technology, organisations can achieve exponential business growth, create new revenue streams, optimise processes, and shape the character of leaders with the concept of "Citius, Altius, Fortius" (Faster, Higher, Stronger).

Join Paulus Swasono Satyo Nugroho, CHRO, Sinar Mas Mining, as he shares how the Sinar Mas Group is continuing to empower employees on their professional development journey by creating holacracy-metaverse organisations shaped by continuous upskilling, reskilling, and the application of the six dimensions of resiliency.

Speaker: Paulus Swasono Satyo Nugroho, CHRO, Sinar Mas Mining

[PANEL DISCUSSION] The Impact of AI In the Workplace: Developing Indonesia’s Talent for The Future

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way Human Resources (HR) operates and is helping streamline many HR tasks and improving overall efficiency and productivity.

However, the adoption of AI in HR also raises concerns about privacy, security, and ethics. For instance, there are concerns about the potential for bias in algorithms used for recruitment and selection of job candidates. AI also has the potential to take certain jobs traditionally done by humans.

To understand better the true impact of AI in the workplace, this panel discussion will examine the opportunities and threats presented by AI and how organisations can deploy AI in a productive, safe, and secure manner.

As organisations look to combine the best of humanity and AI to build the workforce of the future, the panel discussion will also highlight how we can develop talent in people-centric organisations and in the new environment based on AI.

Building Organisational Resilience at Scale (And Why It Pays Off)

The past two years have been turbulent, especially within the technology industry. The high-growth environment that tech companies enjoyed during the pandemic has been normalised post-pandemic, resulting in significant changes in planning and resourcing, including human resources. What has followed has been is wave of layoffs across small-scale startups, up to major industry players.

As organisations continue to seek sustainable growth, a new paradigm of change management has emerged, focusing on reskilling employees and keeping them motivated in a lean organisation. This session, presented by Suryo Sasono, Senior Vice-President of Talent, Bukalapak, will share the tech company’s transformation journey and key strategies that have continued to harness the full potential of employees.
